WHY WE DO
WHAT WE DO
At James Provisions, we believe that how we source, prepare, and serve our food matters. We focus on whole, seasonal ingredients, Texas Angus beef, and natural products, cooking everything from scratch without seed oils. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared and delicious.
We are locally owned and operated and proud members of the Independent Restaurant Coalition, supporting the broader community of independent restaurants while advocating for responsible practices.
We are committed to sustainable and responsible practices. Our team works to minimize our environmental footprint through zero-waste initiatives, repurposing kitchen scraps into nutrient-rich compost, and sharing eggshells with a local woman who feeds her chickens. Water in our kitchen is filtered, and key items like ricotta and mayonnaise are made in-house, all Teflon-free.

ABOUT
Deborah Williamson
Deborah Williamson is the chef and founder of James Provisions in Hurst, Texas. A Texas native, Deborah spent more than 20 years in New York City, the last 15 of which were dedicated to owning and operating her Brooklyn restaurant, James.
In 2023, after returning to her hometown in 2022, Deborah opened a restaurant serving approachable, farm-driven dishes made without seed oils.
Since opening, James Provisions has been recognized with the 2025 Rising Star Award from the Texas Restaurant Association and received nominations for Best New Restaurant and Chef of the Year from the CultureMap Tastemaker Awards.
